I’ve been trying to get this M_Nus Twitter DJ App (that Richie Hawtin helped develop) installed on my Mac but it’s proving to be a little difficult! The idea behind it is to set the app up so that when playing a live set on Trakotr Pro (or Traktor Scratch Pro), Twitter will broadcast a live update on the tracklist of your set as it unfolds. Its a truly great idea, with very good intentions (its aim to is assist the likes of PRS in making sure the artists of the tracks a DJ might play are being paid). For starters, you need MacPorts, Xcode and IceCast all installed on your computer as part of the installation, which has instantly lost me!
Should hopefully have it up and running soon to give it a test! Anyone who fancies getting involved with this or wants to know more, do get in touch! I will keep you updated on my progress with this one!
